Excellence in Pupil Development Award

Chiltern Academy  is committed to supporting the personal development of pupils and will use its involvement with the award to further strengthen this.  The school views the award as an opportunity to audit current provision.

The Excellence in Pupil Development Award offers a structured framework to evaluate and enrich our pastoral curriculum. It supports us in developing pupil’s personal attributes and attitudes, such as self-confidence, resilience and self-discipline. With a focus on involving local and national organisations, this award will support our ethos of preparing our pupils for life in modern Britain. 

As a school we are working towards the accreditation of a nationally recognised award: Excellence in Pupil Development Award from Award Place. We hope to gain recognition for our successful learners who mature into responsible citizens and for their involvement in the local community.
