BESP Careers Event
We were delighted to welcome a variety of employer guests to our first BESP (Business Education and Skills Partnership) speed-networking event on Wednesday, with some of our year 10 pupils. These included employers from 14-19 team Luton Council, British Airways, Giggs and Bell, Kier, London Luton Airport, Ministry of Justice, Neighbourhood Enforcement Team Luton Council and The Fashion Breakdown. The pupils asked the employers questions about their role and the pathway that they had taken, as well as finding out more about the organisation they worked for and the possible opportunities available. The employers highlighted the importance of having employability skills such as communication, leadership, resilience and teamwork and how these can be developed both in school and through extracurricular activities. We would like to say a big thank you to all of our employer guests and we look forward to hopefully having you in again in the near future.
